COVID-19: Rwanda's preparedness and response

About MUSANZE

Only two-hour drive from Rwanda’s capital city of Kigali, Musanze is located in the north west of Rwanda where the most mesmerizing combination of culture, adventure and wildlife can best be captured.

Though its best known for being predominantly touristic location, Musanze also has a number of MICE venues and accommodation to host your events like Classic Lodge and, Gorillas Volcanoes Hotel.

Musanze district harbours the largest tourist attractions of Rwanda – the Volcanoes National Park. Five of the eight volcanoes of the Virunga chain are Karisimbi, Bisoke, Sabyinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura. They are within the district boundaries with Karisimbi as the tallest point in Rwanda at 4,507m and is the sixth tallest peak in Africa.

While the mountain gorilla trek is often at the top of our visitors’ itinerary, the dramatic landscapes of the volcanoes offer additional thrilling hikes and treks to the fascinating golden monkeys or to the Crater Lake at the summit of Mount Bisoke.

You can book depending on how close you would like to be from preferred landmarks and attractions.
