COVID-19: Rwanda's preparedness and response

Africa Private Sector Summit (APSS)

APSS-Summit Series 3- Summit in Kigali, November, 2022

Theme: Awakening Africa’s Sleeping Giants in the Implementation of Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and Repositioning Stakeholders Strategy and Implementation action, in Rwanda, seeks to reposition stakeholders’ strategies and implementation actions which were developed in Series 2 in Accra, by reviewing progress of implementation so far and refashioning areas needing revision for onward continuing improved implementation after Series 3.

Landmark launches of “the Bill of Rights for Enabling Business Environment in Africa” and the “Africa Education Trust Fund” and Fundraising Efforts to support APSS work going forward are also therefore envisaged, making Kigali a watershed moment for leapfrogging on continental projects and APSS activities.

This sets APSS apart from other Summits which have been branded as ‘Talk Shop’ without any concrete implementable follow up actions on the ground. APSS therefore aims ultimately at Action-oriented Planning and Implementation of Solutions which will be progressively and continuously assessed for their results in the Africa we want.
