2nd Regional quality conference

The Africa Organization for Standardization ARSO in partnership with the Kenya Bureau of Standard (KEBS) are organizing a Regional Quality Conference to promote the practical implementation of standards within the Regional Block whose theme is "Managing Quality in a Dynamic Work Environment for Competitive Advantage,", and they want to have their event in Kigali. The participants will have an opportunity to share experiences of how implementation of quality management systems helps organization gain a competitive advantage.

The ARSO (Africa Organization for Standardization) was formed in 1977 with the principal mandate to harmonize African Standards, Conformity Assessment & Procedures in order to reduce Technical Barriers to Trade and therefore promote Intra African and International Trade as well as enhance the industrialization of Africa. ARSO is headquartered in Kenya

The event's theme is “Enhancing a culture of quality in the society".

EAPCCO 2023

The week-long interforce tournament, which kicks-off on Tuesday, March 21, will attract participants in 13 sports disciplines, from 8 EAPCCO member countries.

The EAPCCO is a regional police body with a membership of 14 countries.

Established in 1998, it aims at harmonizing, strengthening police co-operation and joint strategies, sharing of crime related information and harmonization of laws in order to enhance the capacity of law enforcement agencies to combat transnational organized crime.

The 4th edition will be held under the theme: "Fostering Police cooperation in fighting transnational organized crimes through sports."

The 13 sports disciplines include football, handball, netball, volleyball, beach volleyball, basketball, athletics, darts, Karate, Taekwondo, Judo, boxing and shooting.

Participating countries are Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia and the host, Rwanda.

The Games will be played at 20 different grounds in Kigali and Bugesera District with the opening and closing ceremonies to be held at Kigali Pele Stadium and BK Arena, respectively.

Over 1,250 players constituting 83 teams will represent their Police institutions and countries, with 55 men and 28 women teams.

Rwanda National Police (RNP) will compete in all the 13 sports disciplines.

The games will be live streamed on the RNP YouTube channel.

Africa Round Table (ART 2023) - INSOL

The Africa Round Table initiative was established at a meeting organised by INSOL International in Dubai, February 2010. The objectives of the Africa Round Table were threefold:

to have a high level dialogue with both private practitioners and public policymakers regarding insolvency reform in Africa, thereby encouraging reform experiences to be shared and challenges to be discussed in an open and frank forum;
to elevate insolvency reform on the African policy agenda; and
to encourage insolvency policymakers and professionals to establish an annual forum to stimulate discourse and learning across the region.
One of the take-aways from the round tables is to encourage the sharing of information between countries.

The roundtable has been organised in partnership with the World Bank Group, which is working closely with many governments in Africa to assist in strengthening their insolvency and restructuring regimes.

This year's event theme is: " Insolvency in the time of Slow Growth and Inflation"

Participation in the INSOL Africa Round Table is by invitation only.

The 2023 FIFA presidential election will take place at the 73rd FIFA Congress, the call for which was approved by the FIFA Council during its meeting on 30 March 2022.
Thousands of delegates are expected to participate at the event in Remarkable Rwanda.
Kigali already hosted a meeting of the FIFA Council in October 2018.
