AfriHeritage is a platform to retell the African story through contemporary African performances and also appreciate those distinguished Africans who have projected the collective image and aspirations of the African people through their various works and profession, whilst, creating sustainable impact that uplifts others. This concert and awards event will be a celebration and global recognition of outstanding achievement made by people of African heritage in Business, Politics, Philanthropy, Arts and Culture, Science and Technology, and Social Innovation

The idea for a prestigious and significant award to honour people of African heritage who have distinguished themselves through remarkable achievements across the globe has become imperative to foster the African culture of excellence and promote Afrocentrism.

Aside from bestowing international prestige and recognition, the award will focus on the critical importance of culture and leadership, which we believe lies at the core of any shared advancement of socioeconomic and political development in Africa. The Award will also put a spotlight on individuals who, under challenging circumstances, have empowered their people and impacted their sphere of influence to pave the way for sustainable and equitable development.

Africa is root to a plethora of people all over the world who continue to thrive and evolve despite the many issues and challenges stemming from stereotypes. We believe the Afri-Heritage event will contribute immensely to changing the global perception of Africans and also spur the needed critical mass for the attainment of cultural evolution and revolution in sustainable development. The recipients of the African Heritage Awards will be drawn from the following areas of focus:

A number of strategies have been put in place to meet the objective of this proposed event and will focus on a collaborative execution with our primary partners. The highlight of the event will be the creative performances and presentation of awards to a diligently selected individual who have made remarkable impact to humanity. It will feature the following:

CILT Africa Forum 2023

The 2023 edition of the CILT Africa Forum will be hosted in Kigali Convention Centre from 24th to 27th April 2023, under the theme “LOGISTICS: THE ENGINE FOR SUSTAINABLE IMPLEMENTATION OF AfCFTA”.

The Africa forum in Kigali will prioritize corporate exhibitions and business sessions and aims to attract seasoned professionals, industry leaders, government-industry regulatory officials, journalists, and academia not only from Rwanda but across the continent to deliver various insights and discussions around current issues pertaining to sustainable implementation of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Event Objective

After a disruptive global crises threatening free movement of goods and services across global supply chains and Africa in particular, the event is an opportunity to come together for building resilient continental systems of supply chains, logistics and transport that can withstand emerging global shocks on supply chain networks, to keep moving goods and services with their related information from one African country to another where they create more value.

'GAFCON' stands for Global Anglican Future Conference.

The Gafcon movement is a global family of authentic Anglicans standing together to retain and restore the Bible to the heart of the Anglican Communion. Their mission is to guard the unchanging, transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ and to proclaim Him to the world. They were founded on the Bible, bound together by the Jerusalem Statement and Declaration of 2008, and led by a Primates Council, which represents the majority of the world's Anglicans.

Gafcon works to guard and proclaim the unchanging, transforming Gospel through biblically faithful preaching and teaching which frees our churches to make disciples by clear and certain witness to Jesus Christ in all the world.

The Gafcon journey began in 2008 when moral compromise, doctrinal error and the collapse of biblical witness in parts of the Anglican communion had reached such a level that the leaders of the majority of the world's Anglicans felt it was necessary to take a united stand for truth. A crowd of more than one thousand witnesses, including Primates, Archbishops, Bishops, clergy and lay leaders gathered in Jerusalem for the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON).
