Africa Sovereign Investors Forum (ASIF) 2023 ANNUAL MEETING

The Africa Sovereign Investors Forum is holding its 2nd Annual Meeting in 2023. The Annual Meeting is the opportunity for ASIF's members to gather, hold ASIF's Council Meeting (AGM) to discuss the initiative's strategic orientations as well as exchange with external stakeholders on common interest thematics.

Under the theme “Strategic Partnerships: Driving Africa's Resilience And Sustainable Development”, 2023 Annual Meeting is organised by Rwanda's Agaciro Development Fund at Kigali Marriott Hotel.

The event will highlight the investment opportunities and challenges in Africa and the importance of collaboration among local stakeholders to, among others, deliver on the SDGs. It will look into practical measures to mobilize private capital and institutional investment and maximize its contribution to sustainable and inclusive development on the continent. The event will mark Agaciro's 10 years of establishment and will also be the opportunity to showcase the host's main achievements over the period.
It will witness the participation of high-level representatives of Rwanda's institutions, global and African sovereign wealth funds as well as international and regional investors and finance stakeholders.

AFRIKINGDOM-GC 2023

The Africa Kingdom Transformation Global Convention (AFRIKINGDOM-GC) will be held in Kigali, from 19-21 July 2023, at Ste Famille Hotel.

AFRIKINGDOM-GC 2023 will be a series of events aiming at holistically transforming Africa. The event is organized by International Missions (IM) in collaboration with some Christian organizations and churches in Africa.

The event will attract about 250 delegates from Africa and 50 locals.
This event is a two-in-one kind of conference.

23rd AGM of African Trade Insurance Agency

The African Trade Insurance Agency (ATI) 23rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be co-hosted by the Republic of Rwanda from 5 to 7 July 2023 at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre in Kigali, Rwanda.

FIBA's Women's AfroBasket 2023

The FIBA Women's AfroBasket is the top women's basketball tournament in Africa which is staged every two years and features the top 12 national teams on the continent. The 27th edition of this event will take place from July 28, 2023 to August 6, 2023 in Rwanda.

The following teams are qualified for the final phase : Nigeria as champion of the last edition and Mali and Cameroun respectively as 2nd and 3rd of the last edition.

Senegal will represent the zone 2 as they finished at the fourth place of the 2021 edition.

For the qualifiers, 3 zones are going to compete. Zone 5 and 6 will play their qualifiers from February 6 to 13, in Tanzania and Zimbabwe. The last Zone will be known soon.

International Congress for Conservation Biology (ICCB)

The Society for Conservation Biology's International Congress for Conservation Biology (ICCB) is recognized as the most important international meeting for conservation professionals and students.

ICCBs are a forum for addressing conservation challenges. They are the global venue for presenting and discussing new research and developments in conservation science and practice. Most importantly, they connect our global community of conservation professionals and serve as the major networking outlook for anyone interested in conservation. ICCB attendance ranges from 1,500 - 2,200.

ICCB is a biennial congress. ICCB 2019 took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. ICCB 2021 took place December 12-16, 2021, virtually, after being rescheduled from July 2021. Our next conference, ICCB 2023, will take place in Kigali, Rwanda.

Each year the congress features numerous symposia, concurrent sessions, workshops, short courses and field trips. Past symposia have included such diverse topics as: the population biology of invasive species; global amphibian decline; how to integrate conservation research into policy; indigenous communities and conservation; comparing marine and terrestrial ecosystems–implications for conservation theory and practice; the application of top predator distribution to the design and efficacy of reserves; conservation marketing; and real-world social and economic solutions to preserve biodiversity.

Attendees are concerned with the science and practice of conserving biological diversity. The ICCB is always global in scope, bringing together conservation professionals and students from every sector of the field including the biological and social sciences, management, policy and planning. Attendees work for universities, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, private foundations and organizations and publications. They are scientists, students, managers, policy-makers, writers, educators and other conservation professionals from throughout the world. WOMEN DELIVER 2023 CONFERENCE: SPACES, SOLIDARITY, AND SOLUTIONS.

The Women Deliver 2023 Conference (WD2023) will take place in-person in Kigali, Rwanda, as well as virtually, from 17-20 July 2023.

Women Deliver convenings catalyze conversations with stakeholders from around the world, breaking barriers, addressing challenges, and identifying opportunities to advance gender equality, including sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), to improve the health, rights, and wellbeing of girls and women, in all their intersecting identities.

WD2023 will be the world's largest conference on gender equality and the health, rights, and wellbeing of girls and women in the 21st century.

As one of the largest multi-sectoral convenings to advance gender equality, WD2023 will convene 6,000 people in Kigali and 200,000+ people online through the virtual Conference and six-month Global Dialogue leading up to the Conference.
WD2023 will enable inclusive and co-created spaces that foster solidarity for sustainable solutions on gender equality.
