The foremost organisation for international legal practitioners, bar associations and law societies.
Established in 1947, shortly after the creation of the United Nations, the IBA was born out of the conviction that an organisation made up of the world's bar associations could contribute to global stability and peace through the administration of justice.
In the ensuing 75 years since its creation, the organisation has evolved, from an association comprised exclusively of bar associations and law societies, to one that incorporates individual international lawyers and entire law firms. The present membership is comprised of more than 80,000 individual international lawyers from most of the world?s leading law firms and some 190 bar associations and law societies spanning more than 170 countries.

9th East African Health & Scientific Conference (EAHSC)

East African Health and Scientific Conference (EAHSC) is an EAC biennial event convened in East Africa by the EAHRC in collaboration with a host EAC Partner State.
Hosting of the event is rotational to each of the Partner States and at the Partner States level is coordinated through the ministries responsible for EAC affairs, ministries responsible for health and other relevant and it is done in close collaboration with regional and international health-related NGO's, civil society, individuals and stakeholders.
The EAHSC contributes towards strengthening regional cooperation in health and enhances the EAC ideals of free movement of People, Services and Goods.

Main theme

‘'Challenges and Strategies to Preparedness and Response to Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases: Lessons Learnt from the COVID-19 Pandemic''

The EAHSC brings together stakeholders of the health sector from EAC (EAC Secretariat, East African Legislative Assembly, East African Court of Justice, members of the EAC council of ministers, members of the summit and EAC institutions), EAC Partner States that include ministers of health, finance, higher education, science and technology, members of parliament from national assemblies, government officials, researchers, scientists, practitioners, civil society, media, donors and development partners and the public at large.

6th ARC Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally

The 2023 Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally, the event of the African Rally Championship is the flagship event of the motorsport fraternity in Rwanda, this event has been designed by the National Sporting Association: Rwanda Automobile Club and supported by the government of the Republic of Rwanda through the Ministry of Sports.

The event will be hosted in Kigali City, the eastern province of Rwanda, Bugesera District.

Event format

The Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally will be officially flagged off on Friday 22 September 2023 at the BK ARENA KIGALI,
The event race will start the same day by two qualifying stages at KCC from 15h 30 to 18h 30.
The event will resume on Saturday 23 September the entire day in Bugesera districts and the final day too on Sunday 24 September in Bugesera district.

The podium ceremonies and prize giving will take place at BK ARENA on Sunday 24
September 2023.
An approximate of 348.18 Km will be covered in the three days of the race.

This event will count for the 2023 Rwanda National Rally Championship and the 2023 African Rally Championship.

7th Africa Animal Welfare Conference - Action 2023

Get ready to experience one of the world's most important celebrations of nature and meet Rwanda's newborn baby gorillas

Kwita Izina is modelled off a centuries old tradition in which Rwandans name their children in the presence of family and friends. In 2005, Rwanda began officially naming mountain gorillas in what has become a global celebration of nature. By giving a name to these majestic animals, we give them a value they undoubtedly deserve.

The ceremony is an opportunity to thank the communities that live around Volcanoes National Park, our research partners, vets and the dedicated conservationists, rangers and trackers who protect the gorillas.

The 19th Kwita Izina will be held on Friday, 1 September 2023, and will celebrate the country's commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism.
