The African World Heritage Fund (AWHF) is an inter-governmental organisation that was launched in 2006 with the mission to support the effective conservation and protection of natural and cultural heritage of outstanding universal value in Africa. Together with the African Members States of UNESCO and the African Union, the main aim is to develop a strategy to deal with the challenges that many African countries meet in implementing the 1972 World Heritage Convention.

The UNESCO-designated World Heritage Sites in Africa are some of the most spectacular places on earth. The importance of preserving and promoting this cultural heritage escalates with each passing year. It is vital to raise awareness of this rich heritage while informing people of its value and gaining support for the conservation and development of these sites.

ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier Group A & B

The 2022-23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier is a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament being played as part of qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, starting from November 2022.

The first stage of the qualification pathway in the Africa region consists of two sub-regional qualifiers, with the top two teams from each event progressing to the Regional Final.
The sub-regional tournaments are taking place from 17 November to 10 December 2022, hosted by the Rwanda Cricket Association.
The top two sides in the regional final events will qualify for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

Group A comprises eight teams: Botswana, Cameroon, Eswatini, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho and Malawi.

Group B: Rwanda, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, St Helena, Seychelles, Sierra Leone and Tanzania.

Two top teams from each group will progress to the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa regional finals which is the decisive stage that will produce two teams that will represent Africa at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 that will take place in the United States and West Indies

African Philantropists Closing Gender Gap APF

The African Philanthropy Forum is a strong and vibrant community of partners who through their strategic giving, investments and influence, foster shared prosperity on the African continent with a vision of transforming the culture of giving on the continent to the extent that it exceeds development aid by 2030. The African Philanthropy Forum (APF) was established in 2014 to build a learning community of strategic African philanthropists and social investors committed to inclusive and sustainable development throughout the Continent.

Over the years, APF has established a stronger presence on the Continent, with footprints in Egypt, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda, through its regional meetings and conferences. The APF has also invested in the development of the Toolkit for African Philanthropists and the “Why Give” Series, which consists of interviews with Africa's strategic philanthropic leaders to showcase their motivations for giving.

Since becoming an independent entity, APF has reached over 950 philanthropists and social investors in Africa and across the world, bringing the total number to over 1400 since 2014.
