The inaugural African Hub Agro-Dealer Development Conference (HADC) will take place
June 4-7, 2024 in Kigali, at the Kigali Marriott Hotel, Kigali, Rwanda.
The four-day event will feature three days of conferencing and a fourth day visiting the new Rwanda Fertilizer Company blending plant that is a partnership between OCP and the
government of Rwanda.
The central focus of the inaugural event will revolve around one of the key themes of the recently convened African Union African Fertilizer and Soil Health Summit, specifically increasing the flows of financing in the African fertilizer value chain.
AFAP intends to use the HADC platform to launch its African Trade Credit Guarantee Program (ATCGP) and to share with prospective suppliers, hub agro-dealers, and industry development partners the nuts and bolts of how the program will work, its aims and introduce the key stakeholders behind the initiative.
A second highlight of the event will be the adjudication of the 2nd annual Hub Agro-Dealer of the Year Award (HAYA) which will take place this year before a constituency of hub peers of
the nominees.
The event will also feature afternoon Master Classes on Days 2 and 3 to familiarize hub Agro-dealers with revenue enhancing technologies and innovations (in the areas of plant nutrition, agro-forestry, extension services provision, soil health, cooling as a service, mechanization as a service, solar irrigation and promoting trade of innovative products); an table exhibition for suppliers, technology providers, hub agro agro-dealers and development partners, community building breakfast meetings for women in inputs and youth in inputs and a match-making program through which product suppliers and hub agro-dealers can meet to establish new business partnerships.
