The FIBA Women’s AfroBasket is the top women’s basketball tournament in Africa which is staged every two years and features the top 12 national teams on the continent. The 27th edition of this event will take place from July 28, 2023 to August 6, 2023 in Rwanda.

The following teams are qualified for the final phase : Nigeria as champion of the last edition and Mali and Cameroun respectively as 2nd and 3rd of the last edition.

Senegal will represent the zone 2 as they finished at the fourth place of the 2021 edition.

For the qualifiers, 3 zones are going to compete. Zone 5 and 6 will play their qualifiers from February 6 to 13, in Tanzania and Zimbabwe. The last Zone will be known soon.
